Movavi Clips
Video Editing App
Movavi Clips is an easy-to-use mobile video editor app. It allows creating an epic video or engaging stories due to various tools. Furthermore, you could make your movies more absorbing using unique color filters, transitions, and themed stickers.

During my work at Movavi, I was a member of a growth team where I interviewed users, came up with numerous hypotheses and ideas, and tested them. As a result, we significantly increased app retention and revenue.

My Responsibilities
Product Design • UX Research • Prototyping • Design System • Animation
Onboarding

After the research, it became clear that standard prompts did not work, and a new way of learning was needed. Interactive learning in context turned out to be the best option.
Music

As a result of interviews with the target audience, we found out that music was one of the most frequently used functions and needed to be improved. The redesigned UX and UI of the music feature showed effectiveness in usability testing and increased retention rates.
Text Editing

«ased on the analysis of the "Text" function and comparison with the main competitor, the function was improved and, as a result, positively affected the retention and NPS.
Splash Screen

As part of the redesign, I created a new animated Splash screen. To be honest, it was done just for fun, but it also had a good impact on the user experience and branding. The main challenge was to strike a balance between "so bloody slowly" and "so goddamn flickering."
Design System

As part of the company's redesign and process optimization, I developed the first version of the mobile design system (UI Kit, guidelines, coded components). As a result, the number of colors was reduced from 112 to 18 and the number of fonts from 78 to 12. These changes accelerated the development and design process.
